“Older founders of businesses have a higher than average success rate in expanding their companies.” Quote from a new report published by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) It found that of the 351,300 independent limited companies created created between 2001 and 2005 and still in business in 2008, 27% had founding directors aged 50 or older. This rose to 29% for the 3,000 companies classified as high growth. |
